  • Hi there, is there also an option to use an adaptor for the TFQP-32 package and program it before soldering it on the board? i have a T688ii programmer and it supports the Atmel chips.

  • HI Sukko Perra, Finally got around to building your take on the Swinsid Nano. Great design! Check out this video I made.... https://youtu.be/rrfF5dlCUfY I used some New Old Stock from a electronics store that was closing down. These crystal oscillators date from the late 80's . These Swinsid Nano have the Lazy Jones update applied to them. They seem to work fine on several cartridges I've tested .

Glad you finally made it! Just note that this is not my take, it's just Tolaemon's version, which I put here to help those who don't know how to set all the parameters when ordering a PCB, so all credits should go to him :).

Yes, you are right. Your documentation of the whole project is very complete and easily understood as in your other projects. Thank you again for making this possible. :-)

  • Only by looking at the pictures on the sellers site one may have a chance of spotting that this is a passive crystal (not oscillator as stated). Be careful when looking around.... These sellers are advertising correctly. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32601572895.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.27272e0eU6KcXQ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32602559796.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.27272e0eU6KcXQ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32777947924.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.27272e0eU6KcXQ The 5070 in the description 'SMD 5070 active crystal oscillator ' refers to the physical dimensions of the Surface Mounted Device That is 50mm x 70mm . These should fit this Swinsid Nano circuit board. Crystal vs Crystal oscillator. • Just a note to potential builders. I actually got caught out. This design utilizes what is called an 'Active Oscillator' NOT to be confused with a 'Passive Oscillator'. Some sellers sites mistakenly confuse Active with Passive Oscillators when advertising their goods. This is an example of a passive crystal https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32894667753.html?algo_pvid=b18164bc-c493-40eb-867d-3d7d6d0badc5&algo_expid=b18164bc-c493-40eb-867d-3d7d6d0badc5-4&btsid=cb6df9bb-bec4-4a03-a5ce-a61ed5b6d3d4&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_1,searchweb201603_53 Note the seller states Passive.... This seller doesn't even bother with a useful description. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1975224430.html?algo_pvid=e8dff3f5-9a50-4e15-adf1-af5213a44411&algo_expid=e8dff3f5-9a50-4e15-adf1-af5213a44411-34&btsid=54447fed-34ea-4630-9149-ec67ad529d9c&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_1,searchweb201603_53

  • Hello SukkoPera, Have you seen this? https://ilesj.wordpress.com/2014/07/24/swinsid-analog-controller-hack/#more-1150 How hard would it be for you to post a PCBWay circuit board build for this?

    SukkoPera 2019-02-25 02:17:47Reply

It's pretty easy to do, but I'm not interested in that at the moment, sorry.

No problems at all . You must be very busy. I look forward to testing your nano SwinSIDb design out! Take care. :-)
